FAQ

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, on your own computer or phone. Your files are never sent anywhere, so it’s safe for unreleased music and private recordings.

How do I convert MP4 to MP3?

Drop the MP4 file in, keep MP3 selected and press Convert. The audio track is decoded and re-encoded as MP3; the video is discarded.

Can I convert iPhone videos (MOV)?

Yes. MOV files from iPhones contain AAC audio, which Chrome, Edge and Safari can decode. If a file won’t open in one browser, try Chrome.

Can it download audio from YouTube or other websites?

No. This tool converts video files that are already on your device. Downloading from streaming sites usually breaks their terms of service.

Can I keep just part of the audio?

Yes. Drag the edges of the highlighted region on the waveform, or type start and end times, and press Preview to check it.

Which video files work?

MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM and MKV with AAC, MP3, Opus, Vorbis, FLAC or PCM audio. AVI and other older formats may not open.

Which browser works best?

Chrome and Edge on a computer are the fastest and handle the most formats. Firefox and Safari work for most files; if a file won’t open, try Chrome.

Is it free?

Yes — free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no file limits beyond your device’s memory. It’s supported by the ads on the page.
