FAQ

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is processed inside your browser on your own device and never sent anywhere — so it’s fast to start and safe for private clips.

How do I compress a video for Discord?

Drop it in, choose “Discord — 20 MB”, and press Compress. If the video is long, trim it first — a minute of video fits much better than ten.

Will the quality drop?

Some, depending on how much smaller you go. Automatic resolution steps down from 1080p to 720p or lower when the target is small, which looks much cleaner than squeezing full HD into a few megabytes.

Why is the result slightly off the target size?

Video encoders aim for an average bitrate, so the final size varies a little. If the first try is over the target, the tool automatically re-encodes a little smaller.

Can I remove the audio?

Yes — choose “Remove audio”, which also saves space.

Which browser works best?

Chrome or Edge on a computer are fastest, because they use your graphics card to encode video. Safari works for most files; phones work for shorter clips.

Is it free?

Yes — free, no sign-up and no watermark. The site is supported by the ads on the page.
