Make quiet audio louder — free, in your browser. Boost by up to 24 dB, or match a loudness target like −14 LUFS for Spotify and YouTube, with a limiter so it never clips. Works with songs, voice notes and video audio. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Drop in a fileAny audio or video file. Its loudness (LUFS) and peak level are measured straight away.
  2. Turn it upDrag the volume slider or pick a loudness target. The limiter stops the peaks from clipping.
  3. DownloadMake an MP3, M4A or WAV. The final loudness is shown when it’s done.

Louder, but not distorted

GainTurning the volume up by 6 dB roughly doubles the signal level; 10 dB sounds about twice as loud.
The limiterSimply turning audio up makes the peaks clip and crackle. A look-ahead limiter gently holds the loudest moments just under the top.
LUFSLoudness units measure how loud audio sounds, not just its peaks. Streaming services aim for about −14 LUFS.
Make it quieterNegative values turn audio down — useful for sound effects that are too loud next to everything else.

FAQ

Is my song uploaded?

No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device — the processing, the preview and the final file. Your audio is never sent anywhere.

How do I make an MP3 louder?

Drop it in, drag the volume slider up (or pick −14 LUFS), and press Make the file. The limiter keeps it from distorting.

How loud can I make it?

Up to +24 dB. Past about +10 dB on music the limiter has to squash the peaks a lot, which can sound flat — but for very quiet recordings, a big boost is often exactly right.

What does −14 LUFS mean?

It’s an average loudness level. Spotify and YouTube play music at roughly −14 LUFS, so matching it makes your file sit at the same volume as other tracks.

Can I boost the volume of a video?

You can boost its audio here and download it as MP3, M4A or WAV. The video picture isn’t included.

Can I hear the difference?

Yes. Press Compare with original while it plays to flip between the untouched song and your version at the same spot.

Can I upload the result to YouTube, TikTok or Spotify?

Only if you own the song or have permission. An edited version of someone else’s recording is still their recording, and platforms’ copyright systems will usually match it. You’re responsible for what you upload; for your own music, go for it.

Is it free?

Yes — free, no sign-up and no watermark, at full length. The site is supported by the ads on the page.
